Direct Dial
Direct Dial is designed to let customers call a destination directly without entering an access number first. Historically, activation could require carrier provisioning on the registered line.
If you need to confirm the carrier on a line or troubleshoot activation, contact customer support before making chargeable calls.
Dial-up calling
Dial-up calling uses a local access number, followed by the destination number. Calls from an unregistered line may require the account PIN.

Times Telecom support documentation describes the PIN as a 9- or 11-digit activation code used for Dial-up service from unregistered numbers. Keep account credentials private and contact support if you need retrieval assistance.
