How to Port Over Your Number to Times Telecom
  1. Find out first whether Times Telecom supports porting numbers in your area by visiting our Interactive Availability Map.
  2. Fill out Times Telecom Online Authorization Form. Complete the form using the contact information shown on your most recent phone bill. It should clearly state on the first page of your bill your name, number, and service delivery address.
  3. Print the Authorization and sign it. Fax this form along with your phone bill to (604) 279-8779.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
1. Business phone numbers are not eligible to this service

2. Your phone number must be associated with an active account

3. You must NOT have DSL service on the porting phone number
DSL Internet service is only available for those that maintain an active phone line. If you are subscribed to DSL on the porting phone number, you will lose access to your Internet service once the transfer is completed. To avoid such occurrence, you can either transfer your DSL service to another phone line, or you can switch from DSL to Cable Internet service. If you wish to keep your DSL service, you can contact your Telephone Service Provider to have your DSL service moved to another line.

4. Your porting phone number must not contain such features as Distinctive Ringing or Ringmaster
Contact your Telephone Service Provider and ask them first to remove these features from your porting phone number before submitting the Authorization Form.

5. The number you wish to transfer must be the current Main Telephone Number on your phone bill
The name(s), phone number, and address entered on the Authorization Form must match the information that appears on your most recent telephone bill (last 30 days) from your existing local phone service provider, and must match the subscriber information provided to Times Telecom. This submission will serve as your official letter of authorization to transfer your existing number.

6. Your telephone number must NOT be associated with a Centrex or ISDN account.
You need to contact your Telephone Service Provider to have them first convert the porting phone number from CENTREX or ISDN back to standard telephone service before submitting the Authorization Form.

7. You must NOT request any new services or features from your current Telephone Service Provider.
You need to contact your Telephone Service Provider to have them cancel the pending order or, in the case of a pending disconnect, cancel the pending disconnect as your line must remain active in order to transfer it to Times Telecom.

IMPORTANT NOTES
1. Do not contact your current local telephone company to cancel your local service, as you could lose your phone number before the transfer is complete.

2. It may take several business days to complete your request to transfer your phone number. We cannot give you a specific timeframe as the processing period depends on your current Telephone Service Provider. Times Telecom will endeavor to keep you updated on the status of your request.
