History

Times Telecom was incorporated in June 2002 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Key West Global Telecommunications Berhad – a public company trading on the Malaysian MESDAQ market since 2005. Key West is primarily in the business of providing wholesale long distance (minutes) products and services to telecommunication companies, carriers, as well as corporate and individual subscribers. Times Telecom purchases long distance minutes from Key West, and is one of its customers. Key West generated about $25 million in revenues in the 12 month ended January 31, 2011.

Times started as a traditional long distance service provider and telemarketer of mobile phones and services to the ethnic markets (Chinese, Filipinos, East Indians and Vietnamese). Since inception, the company has expanded its product and service offerings to include 1-800 telephony solutions, dial up internet service, ADSL internet service, broadband phone service for the home or office, mobile eLoad, teleconferencing, bills pay and money remittance. Times also expanded within Canada and into the U.S. and Australia through organic growth and the following acquisitions:

In October 2002, the company acquired Clear Channel - a long distance service provider (focused on Vancouver and Toronto) with about 49,000+ customers.

The company opened its first foreign call center in Manila in 2007 and became Fido’s biggest telemarketing center. Times then went on to become a dealer and telemarketer for Bell Mobility in 2009. In March 2011, Bell Mobility and Bell Residential Services appointed Times Telecom Inc. as its sole and exclusive telemarketer for its mobility, TV, internet and phone lines services.
